Aeromedical services provider, Life Flight Eagle, will add two new Bell 407 helicopters to its fleet this year. The two aircraft will replace a BK117 helicopter in Life Flight Eagle’s fleet. Edwards & Associates, a Bell subsidiary specialising in helicopter completions, is customising the aircraft prior to delivery this autumn.
Christine Zalar, president and CEO at Life Flight Eagle, noted that ‘power, speed and value for the money’ were the most impressive features of the Bell 407.
Life Flight Eagle is a community-based emergency service provider in the Kansas City, MO area. The operation is sponsored by three major health care systems and has been a leader in medical helicopter service.
Zalar stated that the fleet upgrades enable the company to remain competitive in its environment. The deal also increases the number of aircraft in the Life Flight Eagle fleet, as two Bell 407s will replace one BK117.
