Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., Fort Worth, Texas, is being awarded a US$ 183,799,999 firm-fixed-price contract for the low rate initial production lot for the procurement of three Super Cobra helicopters (AH-1Z) and six Huey helicopters (UH-1Y). Work will be performed in Amarillo, Texas (53%), and Fort Worth, Texas (47%), and is expected to be completed in January 2007.
Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was not competitively procured. US Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity (N00019-04-C-0001).
